WHAT'S A LICENTIATE?
The Licentiate designation has been awarded to Accredited Professional Photographers (APP), who have been members of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) for 15 years or more.
WHO ARE THE SPEAKERS?
We have such a great mix of presenters for Lenscape, however, we don’t want to give away all of our secrets yet! Keep your eyes peeled for announcements of speakers over the next few months – you won’t be disappointed.
DO YOU HAVE ANY EDUCATIONAL CLASSES AS PART OF THE CONFERENCE?
Our schedule is made up of workshops, seminars and out and about experiences, so you can make the most of the learning style that suits you best. Check out the schedule to see what takes your fancy!
HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?
Best way to register your spot at Lenscape is to jump on the website from the 14th December 2017, and follow the usual AIPP Event process. If you’re having any trouble you can always call us at National Office and we’ll help you out over the phone.
CAN I PAY THE REGISTRATIONS OFF IN INSTALMENTS?
Unfortunately not, our system can only take full payment of your registration for Lenscape. Payments can be made by Credit Card or PayPal. Lucky it’s so affordable right?!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND OR CAN'T GO?
These things happen and we do understand! Check out the T&C’s page on the website for our refund policy.
ARE ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
All delegates and others accompanying them to the Lenscape are responsible for arranging and funding their own accommodation and flights if and as required. The AIPP has supplied a number of accommodation recommendations, which are promoted as options only. Guests are welcome to arrange their own choice of accommodation while attending the event.
Delegates are responsible for arranging and funding their own transfers and flights – if travelling interstate or internally – to Lenscape. Delegates are responsible for making their own way to the event site on each day.
CAN YOU RECOMMEND HOW I FIND CHEAP FLIGHTS?
Research is key in this area! We say keep your eyes on websites like Webjet for possible deals, however maybe a travel agent will work just as well for you and your budget.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY?
The Gold Coast is swamped with accommodation options, for any budget or style. We’ve put a few recommendations here on the website (http://www.lenscape.com.au/2018-location/where-to-stay), just as thought-starters. Alternative, jump on Google and see what suits you best!
IS FOOD PROVIDED?
Absolutely! Food and beverages, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, will be provided for you during the conference days. This food is, however, only for attendees, and will be served in the conference centre. If you’ve got specific dietary requirements, please let us know at the time of booking your ticket.
WHERE CAN I BUY FOOD AND DRINKS?
If you fancy something not on our menu, there’s more options within Seaworld Resort. See the main bar/café in reception for what you’re craving.
I HAVE A SPECIAL DIET AND NEED SPECIAL FOOD - WILL YOU PROVIDE THIS?
Depending on what your dietary requirements are, we will endeavour to provide tasty alternatives for you during the conference meal breaks. You will need to make sure we know of your requirements at the time of booking though, we won’t be able to accommodate changes to the menu on the days of the conference.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER GOING TO BE LIKE?
It’s not called the Sunshine State for nothing! The temperature at the time of Lenscape is generally around 24 degrees. No guarantees though, check out the BOM before your trip (the AIPP cannot guarrantee Mother Nature's plans for this weekend!).
DO I HAVE TO BRING MY OWN LAPTOP/CAMERA/GEAR?
A lot of our workshops will allow you to test some amazing new equipment, however there are also times when you can use your own gear to make the most of the learning process. We’d recommend bringing your camera and laptop as a minimum.
WHAT ABOUT CAR PARKING?
Absolutely. There is limited parking in the Seaworld Resort car park, or alternatively just a touch down the road in the main Seaworld carpark. It’s about a 8-9 minute walk to the conference centre from this carpark.
WHAT CAN I DO IN MY SPARE TIME?
Anything you like! Feel free to check out the amazing animals at Seaworld, grab a group of friends and head into Surfers Paradise for dinner or drinks, or enjoy the beautiful Queensland beaches. We’re put YOU in charge of your free time, so you can spend it however you please.
